Greetings,

Obviously this is getting out a little late this month, but as they say better late than never.  We had a good meeting on the first although attendance was down a little. Please mark April 5th done on your calendars and plan on attending the next meeting. We need as much input as possible from all of our members.

As most of you know we had our upland hunt on the 6th and 7th of February. Butch, Don, and Nick did an excellent job setting up this hunt  and making it  successful. I believe Bob informed us that the we made something around $750 profit this year. I would like to thank these three as well as everyone else from the club that made it out that weekend to help out. I also would like to thank Glen, the proprietor of Stillwater Prairie Hunt Club for the use of the hunt club again this year.  Stillwater is a great place to hold our upland hunts and also a great place to do some upland hunting.  If you haven't been down to Glen's place you should make it a point to book a hunt with Glen next year and see for yourself.  I would also like to thank Pat, Glen's brother, for being at the club since Glen was hard at work that weekend and couldn't make it down. Again thanks to all that helped out.  It was a fun weekend.

Our Cabin Fever Banquet is March 20th and is fast approaching. We are trying to get as organized as possible and are needing as many volunteers as we can get.  We would like people to start showing up around noon. If you are planning on helping out at the banquet please send me a quick email to let me know you will be there and about what time you think you can make it. We also are still in need of a few more turkey fryers.  If you are able to bring one or have one we can borrow please call  Dean at 219-696-6838 or you may email him at dean@waltsfoods.com.  For everyone that still has wristbands please get them sold or let us know ASAP if you don't think you will be able to sell them. For this to be a successful dinner and fundraiser for the club it is very important for us to sell all of the tickets.

Kelly is working hard getting a motivational/working seminar set up with Lorie Jolly. For more information about Lorie you can visit here web site at: www.rosehillretrievers.com/ or you can see the attached flyer.  If you are interested in attending or know of anyone that might be interested please email Kelly at sleepyeddy@netnitco.net.

We were hoping to have a training day this weekend but everything is pretty wet right now. So we are planning on having at training day Sat. March 27th at the marsh at 8 am.  Please let me know if your are planning on attending so we can plan accordingly. Also as club we  need to work on finding some additonal places to train. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.  Our club insurance will cover the liabilty for club functions such as training days.

Finally we are trying to update our membership list so if you have not sent in a new form and paid your dues please do so as soon as possible.  We want to make sure we have updated information on all of our club members. I have attached a from for your convenience.

Thanks and I hope to see everyone at the Banquet.
